Throughout the summer, Moominworld hosts several special days, offering unique experiences not available on regular days!

June 10 Moominworld Opening Ceremony

Summer 2025 begins spectacularly as Moominworld staff together ceremoniously opens the park gates to the first customers of the summer, who get to walk through a guard of honor to spend the best day of summer! The first eighty visitors will be rewarded!

June 20-21 Moomin Family’s Midsummer Dance

Welcome to join the grand Moomin Family’s Midsummer Dance, celebrated throughout Midsummer! There will be communal singing and dancing, and the whole Moominvalley has been invited. The residents of Moominvalley have prepared for the dance for a long time – Snorkmaiden has crafted a beautiful flower crown to wear on her curls, Moomintroll has practiced his dance steps, and Moominpappa is in charge of the music.

August 1 Sniff and Little My’s Great Outdoor Games Day

Welcome to spend a fun day with Little My and Sniff! An exciting day awaits, during which you can play familiar outdoor games with many friends. There will be Simon Says led by Little My herself, and of course everyone’s favorite Mirror Game and lots of other fun activities!

August 6 Moominmamma’s Garden Party

Moominmamma is hosting a delightful garden party and everyone is welcome! The table is set with delicacies and the yard is beautifully decorated. Mrs. Fillyjonk needs help with her party cleaning, and Moominpappa is preparing a big surprise for Moominmamma. Welcome to join the celebration.

August 7 Moomintroll’s Day

It’s Moomintroll’s special day – come give your congratulatory hug and spend a super fun day with Moomintroll! At Theatre Emma, we’ll sing a congratulatory song with three cheers before the day’s performances. Moomintroll’s friends have even prepared small gifts for the birthday boy. Guests of the day can also participate in Moomintroll’s exercise session and party preparations at Moominhouse.

August 9-10 Sign Language Weekend in cooperation with DIAK

The event organized jointly by Moominworld and Diak’s interpretation students aims to bring the fairy tale world closer to children who communicate in Finnish Sign Language (FSL), signed speech, or any augmentative and alternative communication methods (AAC methods).

August 12 Hemulen’s Garden Work Party

Hemulen, that great friend of pollinators and flowers in Moominvalley, is organizing a big work party in his garden! Come learn about Hemulen’s numerous plants and help water the flowers – and of course participate in fun games in Hemulen’s garden.

August 17 Autumn Arrives in Moominvalley

Come wish the Moomin family sweet winter dreams and Snufkin a good journey south.
